ImageMakers Exhibit May 3, 2012

This past Thurday, me and nine members from our club of East Dekalb Boys and Girls Club went to see the 2012 ImageMakers Exhibit in the Youth Art Connection Museum. Ms. Rebecca DesMarais who curated the exhibit did a great job hanging and selecting a wide range of great photographs.  We had great time. The members were very enthusiastic as we all walked as a group viewing all the many great works on the wall. Overall, it was a great evening enjoying art and life together with the kids.

The pictures here were taken while in the exhibit. After viewing please go ahead and leave a positve comment if you so choose, thank you.
This is Khali standing by her work "Broken" (very top) that was chosen for "Judges' Commedations". Great Job!
Mikaya here enjoying her snacks while viewing the exhibit.
YhaShea standing by her chosen piece (top right) called "Courage".
Here's another selected photograph by Khali. I remember how hard she worked to get that unique picture. Great Job, K!
Kaliq standing by his piece called " Hangtime". Great job!
A picture of the group standing in front Dasia's amazing piece " Triple Threat". Great job, Dasia!
The group viewing more great artwork around the exhibit.
The awards ceremony.
Kaliq won the Viewers Choice Award - an underwater camera! Good good!

This years ImageMakers has been a blessed one. Thanks to the East Dekalb boys and girls who participated and put in the time in to make these stunning pictures and to the staff and to Ms. Pat and Ms. Lauren for all their guidance and support. Thanks to all. See you next year.

ImageMakers 2012

I am proud to present these photographs for all the world to see brought to you in part by me, Mr. J(Arts & Crafts Instructor), but mostly in part by the hard work, creativity and dedication of the members of East Dekalb Boys and Girls Club  who participated this year. Just to give you a scope of how much work was put in- these 26 photographs were selected from over 1,500 photographs taken! So each one displayed here are the best of the best. And of these 26 photos 16 were selected to be in the coveted ImageMakers Photo Exhibit this year, CONGRATS! Each photograph has the name of the 'member-photographer' below them. And of those that were chosen have the word "selected" after their name and age.

For those who view these pictures below please leave a POSITIVE comment, tell us which picture you like or like the most, overall leave a comment of encouragement. FYI: All comments will be reviewed by me and if needed, any negative comments will be deleted.

Once again, Congratulations to East Dekalb Boys and Girls Club for the great work!
